AWDC – Headon Hillclimb, Minehead April 2011
Our first event this year, with the newly tuned engine and exhaust system and of course the new colours.
This weekend is more of a social than racing. We arrived about 8pm on Friday got the camp set up and tea on!
Saturday was glorious so we decided to have a trip to the beach – Woolacombe is about 1/2 hr away and well worth the trip, after a coffee, ice cream and cream tea we made a move back to camp. Ready for the arrival of the ‘chippy van’ which was to be later that evening. The field had filled and it looked like we would have a bit of competition for Sunday – race day.
We held the record for the hill climb last year – 2 miles in 3:05mins.
The format for the day is 10 runs – best two to count.
We still hold the record, although we beat last years by 8 seconds, new time is 2:57mins.
